Super Sack

This is my take on the traditional four sack animation exercise. The assignment was to animate a flour sack taking a big jump. It was created in one week modeled and animated in Maya The textures were created in Photoshop and the animation was rendered in Renderman for Maya.

Shadow Shapes

In approaching this drawing I started out with the basic contours of the figure, making sure to draw everything at once. I was attempting to avoid focusing in on one spot. Next,I started laying in the shadows with large flat areas creating specific shapes that brought out of the form of the figure.

Old Wolf boy 3

Here is another old wolf boy image.

This image was colored digitally, in Painter I believe. For a lot of the images I also cleaned up the black lines quite a bit in Photoshop. For example, the last image I added the cross hatched border. The original was in black and white and was not framed in that round border. Using the copy stamp tool and cutting the cross hatching from my other drawings I was able to convincingly place the drawing into a framed format. It looks like it was physically drawn in that manner. This saved me lots of tedious cross-hatching and ink.
